Spanish accordionist Sofía Ros has established herself as a leading voice of her generation and a passionate
advocate for her instrument. Named BBC Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician of the Year in 2025, she has won numerous prizes and performed at major international venues including Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein and the Konzerthaus Vienna. Her programme includes Bach’s famous Chaconne, Liszt’s La Campanella and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition,
in a transcription created especially for this RMS performance, accompanied by projected artwork display on the theme of "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Roseland schoolchildren.
