DESCRIPTION:The Davidoff Trio is one  of the most exciting young piano tri
 os currently enjoying an international career.  This multiple prize-winni
 ng group won the London Parkhouse Award in 2026.  The trio has toured Eur
 ope and the Far East\, with highlights including their debut performane of
  the Beethoven Triple Concerto at the Philharmonie Essen and a recital at

 o \n\nThe Davidoff Trio\, founded in Mainz in 2021\, is considered one of
  the most interesting up-and-coming piano trios on the European chamber mu
 sic scene.\n\nRegularly appearing on international stages\, it has made gu
 est appearances at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival\, the Brixen Clas
 sics Festival and the Festival Musikdorf Ernen\, among others. In April 20
 25\, the trio won the prestigious Parkhouse Award in London and has also r
 eceived further national and international prizes\, including most recentl
 y at the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2026\, the Internat
 ional JOSEPH JOACHIM Chamber Music Competition 2025\, the International Gi
 anni Bergamo Classic Music Award 2024\, the Folkwang Prize and the Walbusc
 h Prize from Jeunesses Musicales Germany.\n\nFor the 2025-2027 season\, th
 e trio has been appointed Ensemble in Residence at the ProQuartet - Centre
  Européen de Musique de Chambre in Paris. Concert recordings have been br
 oadcast internationally on radio\, most recently on SRF Kultur and WDR3.\n
 \nThe trio is currently studying at the Folkwang Universität der Künste 
 in Essen with Thomas Hoppe and at the International Institute for Chamber 
 Music at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid\, where it
  was among the last ensembles to receive artistic guidance from Günter Pi
 chler.\n\nWith the aim of making classical music accessible to a wide audi
 ence through innovative concert formats and unusual concert venues\, the t
 rio launched an interdisciplinary concert series in January 2025 at the po
 pular Mainz bar "Nirgendwo"\, combining classical music with jazz and poet
 ry.\n\nPerformances in 2026 will take the trio across Germany\, to Spain\,
  England\, Italy\, Finland and Japan\, and include highlights such as thei
 r debut with Beethoven's Triple Concerto at the Philharmonie Essen and a r
 ecital at Wigmore Hall.\n\nJohannes plays a violin by Jean-Baptiste Vuilla
 ume (Paris\, ca. 1861)\, which has been kindly made available to him as a 
 generous private loan and Christoph currently plays a cello by N. F. Vuill
 aume from the year 1860\, generously on loan from Daniel Geiss.\n\n\n\n\n\
